Request accessibility accommodations
Submit an accommodation request and understand how organizers respond.
Goal
Request accessibility accommodations for a fair so the organizer can support your needs.
When to use this
Use this if you require any accessibility accommodations to attend or participate in a career fair, such as mobility access, assistive services, or other needs.
You can submit a request upon registration, or at anytime after you have registered for the fair.
Step 1: Register for the fair
You must be registered for the fair before requesting accommodations.
Once registered, you will have access to your registration details, including accessibility options.
Step 2: Open your registration details
- Open the fair page.
- In the Registration panel, click My registration.
This opens your registration summary, including your time slot, resume status, and accessibility options.
Step 3: Request accessibility accommodations
-
In your registration summary, find the Accessibility section.
-
Click Request accommodations.
-
Enter your request in the text box
Example: wheelchair access, ASL interpretation, quiet space.
-
Click Submit.
What happens after you submit
Once you submit your request:
- The fair organizer is notified
- The organizer can approve or reject the request
- The organizer may contact you directly using the email you provided to clarify details or coordinate next steps
You will not need to resubmit unless your needs change.
Notes and best practices
- Be as specific as possible in your request so the organizer can respond quickly
- Requests are reviewed by the fair organizer, not employers
- Submitting a request does not affect your registration status or ability to attend
If you have questions or need help, use the Contact the organizer link on the fair page.
