Goal

Help candidates follow up with you after a connection by sharing your job title and LinkedIn profile.

When to use this

Use this before a fair begins (virtual or in person), or anytime you want candidates you connect with to see your contact details.

Step by step: Turn on contact sharing

1) Open your account menu

In the bottom left corner, click your name.

Open your account menu

2) Go to Manage account

Select Manage account.

Click Manage account to open your account settings.

3) Open Personal settings

In the left menu, click Personal.

Add and control your contact details

4) Add your details and enable sharing

Enter your Job title and paste your LinkedIn URL. Turn on Allow connections to view LinkedIn? if you also want candidates to see your LinkedIn profile.

Save your contact preferences

5) Save your changes

Click Save.

What this looks like for candidates

After you connect with a candidate, your shared contact info appears on their side.

Troubleshooting

“What can candidates see?”

Candidates you connect with can always see your name and job title, if filled in. Turning on Allow connections to view LinkedIn? also shares your LinkedIn URL with them. This information appears during the fair connection experience and remains available to the candidate afterward.

“I don’t see my contact details showing up for candidates”

  1. Go back to Manage account > Personal and confirm:
    • Job title is filled in
    • LinkedIn URL is filled in
    • Allow connections to view LinkedIn? is turned on
  2. Click Save again.
  3. Refresh the fair page and try another connection.

“I don’t want candidates to see my LinkedIn”

Leave the LinkedIn field blank and keep Allow connections to view LinkedIn? turned off.
