How do Withe hiring events work?

Virtual hiring events using Withe

Withe makes virtual hiring events simple and effective. The typical process for setting up and running a virtual hiring event is as follows.

First, the recruiter creates a job posting in the Withe platform including details such as the job description, location, salary, work arrangements, benefits, and more. They can then create one or more events linked to this job description. In the event setup page, recruiters can detail a variety of preferences and parameters including:

  • Their time zone, start time, and end time
  • The length of the interviews
  • A maximum number of candidates per time slot
  • Instructions for the candidate (e.g. how to join, what information to prepare)
  • The hiring managers that will be interviewing the event (for internal tracking and accountability purposes)

Recruiters can also input qualifying questions and parameters that will automatically knock-out or pre-qualify a candidate for the event. For example, if they don't have enough experience or are ineligible to work in the country, they could be disqualified from interviewing.

Once an event is created, Withe automatically creates a landing page that candidates can use to sign up for the event. Recruiters can share the link and promote it across various channels, including social media, job boards, newsletters, and more — Withe automatically tracks where candidates are signing up from and if they’re qualified, allowing teams to more effectively allocate their recruitment marketing budget.

When a candidate registers, they are given a list of time slots that they can choose from, as well as the option to make accommodation requests. This adds to the self-serve, flexible experience that candidates expect.

On the day of the hiring event, candidates can join a video call from the same event registration page, and immediately have a face-to-face interaction with a recruiter. The video call is hosted within Withe itself, not a third-party platform. Candidates are also able register while the event is live and, if qualified, are placed in a queueing system and connected to the next available interviewer — usually within minutes.

Recruiters, meanwhile, can make notes and indicate their hiring decision within the platform itself, and those details are automatically transferred to the ATS.

In-person hiring events using Withe

For teams that are hosting in-person hiring events, the process is very similar. The only difference is that the interview is held in person, at a specific location, rather than online.
